Christmas Spirit

so, late last night I unplugged the Christmas tree, thinking, "hm....this is wasting electricity. No one is awake, and it's really bright being on." Today, my husband asked in a sort of irritated/disappointed tone, "why is the Christmas tree off?" insinuating that I have no Christmas spirit, and I told him my thoughts about electricity... It's funny, because I don't normally get into all the save the earth, recycle everything in your household, take 5 min showers, etc, but in the middle of the night, my concern is the tree lights using electricity. Don't get me wrong. I think recycling is great, and that we should be conscious of the earth, and do our part to make it better for our kids... just struck me as odd that my first thought in the night was about saving our resources.

So, I'm turning the tree back on...because I do have Christmas spirit... and it's dark in here.
